"Zweieinhalb Hektar"

bezieht sich auf die Waldrodung eines Teilstücks des Fecher-Waldes zwischen Fechenheim und Bergen-Enkheim im Zuge des Bauprojekts, den Riederwaldtunnel mit der A66 zu verbinden und auszubauen.

Im Jahr 2021 bis 2023 gab es bis zur Umsetzung des Projektes, Proteste von direkten Anwohnern und Aktivisten, welche das Bauprojekt verhindern wollten.

Die Serie untersucht nun drei Jahre nach dem Beginn der Umsetzung, die entstandenen Folgen des Vorhabens, aber auch die immer noch sichtbaren Spuren des Protests und Widerstands im Fecher-Wald.

Entstanden ist ein omnipräsenter Kontrast aus Natur, Naturschutz und Eingriff in die Natur, der sich auf zweieinhalb Hektar abspielt.


The work “Zweieinhalb Hektar” refers to the deforestation of a section of the Fecher forest between Fechenheim and Bergen-Enkheim as part of the construction project to connect and expand the Riederwald Tunnel with the A66.

Between 2021 and 2023, prior to the implementation of the project, there were protests by local residents and activists who sought to prevent the construction project.

The series examines, three years after the beginning of its implementation, the resulting consequences of the project, as well as the still visible traces of protest and resistance in the Fecher forest.

What emerges is an omnipresent contrast between nature, nature conservation, and human intervention in nature, unfolding across an area of two and a half hectares.
